Meet Wild Fire: The sister duo setting the music world ablaze
Every once in a while, an artist or group comes along that makes you stop and say, Wow, something special is happening here. That is exactly the kind of impact Wild Fire, the dynamic sister duo of Kelli and Kayla Iutzwig, is making in the world of music. Young, fearless, full of talent and passion, Wild Fire is proof that age is just a number when it comes to telling stories through song and lighting up the stage with undeniable star power. From humble beginnings in Houston, Texas, to national attention and millions of streams, this duo is not just creating music. They are creating a movement.
Real talent from a young age
Wild Fire began back in 2016, but the story of Kelli and Kayla’s musical journey goes even further back. Their love for music started when they were just little girls, singing along to their favorite artists like Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, Kelly Clarkson, and Justin Bieber. Their parents noticed their natural musical ability early on and supported them every step of the way.
By the age of six, both girls were training with celebrated vocal coach Pamela Moore, and they quickly picked up more than just their voices. Kelli also learned to play piano and guitar, while Kayla followed closely behind with guitar and strong vocals of her own. It wasn’t long before the sisters began writing songs, performing in live theatre and dance shows, and crafting the energetic, heartfelt sound that fans love today.

Much more then just pop and country! It’s Wild Fire!
So what does Wild Fire sound like? That’s not an easy question to answer, because these sisters are creating something truly their own. Imagine the sparkle and honesty of youthful pop, the energy of rock, and the storytelling charm of country, all mixed into one unforgettable sound. It is uplifting, it is full of emotion, and it always feels real.
Wild Fire sings with heart, harmony, and heat. Their voices are powerful both alone and together, blending beautifully to tell stories that connect with people of all ages. Whether they are singing about love, self-discovery, or growing up, their songs always carry a strong message. Their music speaks to anyone who has ever had a dream, faced a challenge, or dared to feel deeply.
Since forming Wild Fire, Kelli and Kayla have performed at some of Texas’s biggest stages and events. From the Houston Rodeo to NRG Stadium, from Kemah Boardwalk to White Oak Music Hall, they have wowed crowds again and again. In 2016, they made it to the semifinals of the Houston Rodeo’s Rodeo Rockstar competition, and the next year, they went all the way to the finals. That same year, they reached the final round of the Huntsville Superstar singing competition as well.
Then came 2018, a major moment when Wild Fire took first place at the Josie Music Awards in the Female Vocalist of the Year category (Young Adult division). Held at the Celebrity Theater inside Dolly Parton’s Dollywood, this award gave them national recognition and opened the doors to even bigger opportunities.

National recognition and TV appearances
Wild Fire’s rising star caught the attention of both fans and the media. In 2019, KHOU-TV’s “Great Day Houston” featured the duo on live television and called them “one of the best up-and-coming young artist duos out there.” The show was so impressed, they invited Wild Fire back in 2020 for another appearance. But that was only the beginning. That same year, several of Wild Fire’s original songs were placed on NBC’s hit reality show “Very Cavallari”, giving their music even more exposure.
Their music video for “Like Home” was another milestone. In 2022, fans came together to crowdfund $20,000 to bring the video to life. The finished project was picked up by CMT, one of the biggest platforms for country music videos in the world. In 2024, the sisters once again turned to their passionate fanbase to support their “Mirrors Edge” album, raising over $36,000 through crowdfunding. That level of support shows just how much people believe in them and love what they are doing.
